This is a short video featuring a player who started playing street futsal at a young age in Brazil. He played 5 hours per/day in a street futsal environment and also added beach soccer to the routine. It wasn’t until he turned 13 years old that he began playing 11v11 soccer on grass. Notice the influence these environments had in the way he plays the 11v11 game – the footage is from college soccer in the United States against NCAA DI, II and DI Juco teams. The intent of the video is to show how the skill-sets, both the technical and soccer intelligence components are transferred from diverse soccer environments to the more traditional 11v11 environment.
