Cognitive Possession: Teaching Attacking Overloads Using Conditions

This is a great exercise to teach attacking overloads using colors and conditions.  The black & yellow players are a team and red and blue make another team. In this example the black & yellow team have possession, the condition/rule is that both yellow players must be in the vertical half of the field where the ball is located (when their team is in possession), also a minimum of two black players must also be in that zone.  This creates 4 players always in the vertical zone for the team in possession.  If the red team & blue  gains possession, both blue players must be in the vertical zone where the ball is for their team.  The condition forces the players to create the attacking overloads, the field has multiple goals in order to increase the number of decisions players can make, especially in possession!
